"Mr. Skyler." Dr. Chang said. "Please rest assured. You're fine. Your blood test is fine."
"Are you sure?" Glenn asked.
Dr. Chang is a good friend of Lloyd's. He often treats his injuries and doesn't ask much questions. Though he has the habit of nagging Lloyd to quit the buisness of demon slayering.
"Yes." Dr. Chang said. "You are absolutely fine, so don't fret."
When Glenn left the hospital, Lloyd was waiting for him right outside with V.V. who was carrying a huge Donald Duck plushie doll.
"Well, how did it go?" Lloyd asked.
"Nothing. My blood test is fine." Glenn said, holding out his statement report. "It's so weird. After I had drank Reo's blood, I still felt fine."
"I wonder why Revarie seemed so outraged about you having vampire blood." V.V. said, adjusting Donald Duck's cap.
"Who knows???" Lloyd said, leading them to Domino's. "Maybe Glenn is from a long line of vampires."
"Ha,ha." Glenn said sarcastically. "But maybe I'll pay a visit to there later."

A group of fishermen were sailing in the Medittarean Ocean, their fishing net in the sea. So far, they had caught a few dozens of fishes.
"Fishes ain't biting today." One of them said.
The others nodded glumly.
Suddenly, the net began to shake.
"OH!" Everyone gasped.
"Quick, hoist the net."
Eagerly, they hoisted the net up to find something unexpected.
A very beautiful girl in white was inside the net. Her hair is pale blue, straight and flowy, so are her eyes. On her head, there are two large hairpins shaped in a treble clef. Her clothes are also white and rather flowy as well.
"What on earth is that???" One of them exclaimed.
The girl started to open her mouth and sing a beautiful and melodic song. The fishermen around her were gazing at her as though they were in a trance. The girl then cut the net with her bare hands and stared at the fishermen who are gazing at her dreamily. Without warning, she let out a piercing shriek that caused the entire ship to be crushed by the pressure.
As the ship sank, the girl swam gracefully away, leaving the dreamy fishermen to their death.

Lloyd was draining his Coke as V.V. ate some sphagetti bolognese whereas Glenn ate some salad to be on the safe side. Ever since he had drank Reo's blood, he moved to greens for a while, causing V.V. to say, "Look, he had started eating greens, like a bunny rabbit," which caused Glenn to say, "No, I'm keeping myself healthy."
Suddenly, the television in Domino's suddenly switched to NY News 1. And the news is not good.
"Good afternoon to all of United States. This is Jennifer Jenner bringing you a sudden report." Jennifer said. "We have just received a report that a ship had just sunk."
Lloyd choked on his Coke, and spluttered, "What???" Glenn and V.V. was staring at the television with a rather puzzled look on their face.
"Some eyewitnesses claimed they saw something from ship havoc. We have maged to grab a quick live shot of the thing they described, although it looks like a fish."
The scene then switched to a quick live shot. Apparently, the thing in the lake look like a fish, but it's way too big for that. It looks like a human with a tail.
"A mermaid?" Glenn said.
"Probably." Lloyd said.
"No, it's not." V.V. said, stroking Donald's beak.
Both guys stared at her and said, "What???"
V.V. sighed and said, "A single mermaid can't wreck havoc on a ship. You need a whole clan of mermaid to destory a ship. It's not as easy as that."
"As expected of an immortal demonic weapon." A voice said behind them.
Both Lloyd and Glenn looked up to see Dario standing right behind of V.V.'s seat. He wasn't wearing his black vampiric outfits and not carrying his rapier. Instead, he was wearing a plain grey shirt and dark cargo pants.
"You-" Lloyd shouted.
"Shhhhhh...." Glenn hissed. "You are causing a commotion..."
Lloyd glared at the nearby people in their seats, who quickly looked away from him.
"What do you want?" V.V. asked, without looking at him.
Dario handed her a black rose in response. "A rose for a beautiful girl."
V.V. stared at the rose and shook Donald Duck's head in response.
"You're pretty adorable." Dario said, clearing flirting with her, sliding into the seat next to her. V.V. edged near the window, keeping her distance from him.
"What are you doing here?" Lloyd snapped. "In case you haven't noticed, this is Domino's. Shouldn't you be in the fancy restaurants like Giovanni's?"
"I had come here to offer a small truce." Dario said.
Lloyd choked on his Coke again, but this time Glenn needed to slap his back hard.
Dario just smiled at them with amusement, but his eyes are on V.V. who was playing with her meatballs. Catching his eye, she asked him, "Why? Are you jealous? Here." She pushed her plate of meatballs towards Dario with a clean fork.
Dario then said, "I see you like being with them."
V.V. tapped the plate of meatballs. "Do you want these or not?"
Lloyd snatched the plate and said, "V.V., you can't feed the enemy!!!!"
"He was jealous." V.V. muttered.
"No feeding." Lloyd said, pushing the plate at the end.
Dario gave a shrug and said, "I can't believe you became a whooping lobster."
"What do you mean by you can't believe I became a lobster?" Lloyd snapped. "You look as though you know me."
Dario's eyes glittered with malice. "I know you for a long time. And, like I said, I want to offer a truce. If you give me V.V.,I'll tell you about your past. Fair exchange, eh?"
V.V. looked frightened. She kept glancing at Lloyd and Dario. She then said, "You aren't going to sell me away, aren't you?"
Lloyd leaned forward till he and Dario were only a nose apart. Keeping his gold topaz eyes locked onto Dario's dark ones, he said, "No deal."
Dario gave a laugh and said, "You are pretty loyal, huh?"
Lloyd then said, "Yeah. You know something, V.V. is not for sale!!!"
"Enough!!!!" V.V. yelled, causing people to stare at their table. "I had it!!! I'm not an item that you guys can just buy or trade, OK????"
She pushed Dario roughly aside and left the restaurant, leaving behind her Donald Duck plushie.
Lloyd glared at him and said, "If you try anything with V.V. again, I'll chop you into half. Glenn, grab the duck."
Glenn grabbed the Donald Duck and left, Lloyd behind him.
Dario gave a smirk and said to no one in particular, "Don't worry, Lloyd. Our path will cross again pretty soon..."

"Jerks..." V.V. muttered, leaning against the bridge. The bridge had a view of the Caribbean Sea. The water looks come and peaceful. If only Lloyd would stop throwing daggers everytime he see Dario.
"I am not something that can be traded or played around with." V.V. said out loud. Luckily, there's nobody around her, or they might have think she's nuts.
Suddenly, something rippled in the water. V.V. leaned a little closer, hoping a fish would popped out of the surface. She love seeing the silver fishes that sometimes appear in the surface. But instead, a very beautiful young girl in white popped out. V.V. stared at her and thought to herself, "Don't tell me this is the thing that sank the ship."
Suddenly, the girl opened her mouth and sing a very melodic song. V.V. then thought, "No way. That's a-"
Suddenly, she felt herself listening to the melodious song and witout thinking. She climbed over the bridge to go down near the port.

"Damn. Where could she be???" Lloyd said, slamming his fist on the steering wheel.
Glenn, who had tossed the Donald Duck plushie at the backseat, said, "Maybe she went back."
Lloyd shook his head. "She would've called back in the office."
"Did Dario reach her first, then?" Glenn gave another suggestion.
"V.V. will never get herself captured by him." Lloyd said, fiddling with the radio with one hand whereas the other hand is steering the wheel.
"This is Jennifer Jenner bringing you this startling news." Jennifer said. "Apparently, there's a commotion at the port. A girl in white was approaching slowly towards something in the water. She looked as though she's in a trance. And when one of our news helicopter went to get a closer shot, the thing in the water let out a shriek that caused a powerful water pulse shockwave that blasted the helicopter apart."
"Think it's worth checking out?" Glenn asked.
"Probably not." Lloyd said. "It's probably not-"
"We're now giving you a quick live shot from one of our crew who had manged to get the close lookup." The TVs in the nearby TV shop switched scenes to two girls. One of them is in the water, who seems to be singing to the other girl who is-
"V.V.!!!!!!!" Lloyd and Glenn yelled. Lloyd put the pedal to the metal and they charged towards a lane, trying to head to the port.

The girl in the water kept singing, but occasionally, she blasted anything that came within her range with her water pulse shockwave. V.V. leaned over ner the edge of the port. Many people were staring at the two girls from the bridge for safety. The still singing girl touched V.V.'s hand and gently grabbed it, pulling her towards the water. V.V., completely oblivious to everything around her, was slowly being pulled in, inches by inches.
Suddenly, a gun shot nearly hit the singing girl, who shrieked in anger. She glared menacingly around her, only to find Glenn pointing his gun at the girl. V.V., coming back to her senses, gazed at the girl, who had pulled her whole arm into the water.
"What-What's going-" V.V. stuttered.
The singing girl suddenly pulled V.V. into the water very roughly, causing V.V. to screamed as she sank into the water.
"Dammit!!!!" Glenn yelled. "This wasn't part of the plan!!!"
The singing girl suddenly sprouted out a pair of bird wings and charged towards Glenn who ducked as she attempted to grab him.
"Help!!!! I can't swim!!!!" V.V. screamed.
Glenn tried to shoot the girl except she slashed his wrist with iron nails which caused him to drop his gun. V.V., unable to hold on any longer, sank into the water. Many people gasped as Lloyd leapt out of nowhere and tried to jump into the water only someone esle had reached him first. Dario had taken off his grey shirt and jumped into the water.
"Lloyd!!!! That thing is a Siren!!!!" Glenn yelled, trying to duck as the Siren tried to rip him with her vicious nails. "She lures people with her voice, so whatever you do, don't listen to her!!!!"
"Easy for you to say!!!" Lloyd shouted, trying to keep an eye on the Siren and the water. Who knows what happened to V.V. who was still inside the water.
Glenn ducked behind a pillar as the Siren let out another piercing shriek, which blasted the top of the pillar. His gun was near the edge of the port. Ah....If only he could get his gun, but his wrist is injured, blood was oozing out of the five vicious slashes were. If he's going to attack the Siren from close range, then he have to wait for her swoop down and pounce on her.
The Siren gave another shriek and tried to swoop down and reach him. Glenn ducked again and took a deep breath as the Siren came down again. This time, Glenn crouched down in a ready stance, then as the Siren started swooping down, he pounced on the Siren and did a hammer blow on her head. The Siren then crashed into the water, taking Glenn with her.
At that moment, Dario resurfaced, with an uncouncious V.V. in his arms. Many people were watching him with awe as he dragged V.V. onto the landing, his face filled with determination. V.V. coughed and spluttered out some water. A few people cheered as they saw V.V. coming around. Confused, she stared at Dario, who gave a sigh of relief.
V.V. gave him a look of distrust and squeezed some water from her hair, saying, "What happened to Lloyd?"
V.V. thought she could see jealousy and anger appeared on his face for a moment, but another moment, his face is expressionless. He then said, "Why him?"
V.V. gave a small puzzled look. "Pardon?"
"Why him? And not me?" Dario sounded serious now.
V.V. shook her head. "What on earth are you talking about?"
Dario suddenly hugged her tight. She could hear him breathing fast. "You could take me. You don't need him."
"Get off me!!!" V.V. shouted, pushing him away from her. She leaned towards the water and said, "Oh, God. I just can't stand around in the sidelines..." She braced herself, and dived into the water, but only a second has passed when she spluttered out of the water and pulled herself up. "Oh...Oh...Oh....I can't swim...."
"You, stay here." Lloyd said, taking of his coat and diving into the water.

Ugh, that was painful....Glenn thought as the Siren grabbed him firmly into the depths of the water. I'm lucky to be alive, but that's not going to last long.
The Siren may look fragile, but she is not. Now that they're in the water, the Siren turned back to her inoccent maiden form, but her grip is so strong to break free. What a pretty thing, but looks can be deceiving.
Glenn tried to wrench her fingers but she just clung on tighter, keeping him firmly in her grip. He stared at the surface, his vision fading.
Without warning, Lloyd kicked the Siren as hard as he could. She gave a shriek and let go of Glenn, who was uncouncious. Lloyd quickly reached him and pulled him up into the surface. V.V. and Dario are at the top, staring at them both. Both of them had dried themselves and were reaching out to help Glenn (Well, only V.V.).
Glenn was still uncouncious when he reached the surface. Lloyd checked his pulse and said, "He's still breathing."
V.V. placed her fingers and said, "I think I know what I have to do."
But before she could anything, the Siren leapt out of the water like a dolphin and blasted water pulse shockwave towards them. But surprisingly, Dario leapt up and blasted magical energy at the Siren, who fell back into the water. The crowd appluded, probably thinking this is some kind of movie action scene.
"Can we back off now???" V.V. said. "I think everybody is staring at us..."
"Yeah, sure...Hold on." Lloyd slapped Glenn hard. "Wake up. We got to move..."
Glenn woke up with a start.
"Ahhh...What's that for???" He squarwked.
"We're attracting too much attention...Move it..." Lloyd said, dragging Glenn's arm. V.V. hopping behind them.
Dario stood still, still not wearing his shirt back yet. He was staring at the water, the Siren climbing out again. Only this time, she looked exhausted and tired. When she saw Dario, she stared at him with a menancing look. She raised her nails and tried to slash him.
Making sure the crowd is occupied, Dario took out his rapier and looked at the Siren. He raised it and...
Everything went black...
When he had left through the confusion of the crowd, all that was left is a body of a beautiful maiden sinking into the water.
A wound to the chest, mixing the water with blood.
